ISAAC ABRAMS Since 1964, Isaac Abrams has never taken a vocational break from his greatest passion, painting. His early works led to the creation of the nation’Äôs first gallery devoted solely to psychedelic art. Along with Peter Max and a host of other artists & painters from this era, only a few remain active, vibrant and evolving in their craft. “We couldn’t be more excited to have Isaac exhibit and demonstrate at this years Labor Day show. You do not have to be a sixties boomer to make an instant connection and appreciation of his work. But it helps!” said Scott Rubinstein, co-director of the fair. Mr. Abrams began painting at 25 and he quickly moved from rank beginner to creator of many of the fundamental building blocks of the “psychedelic” style. His 46 year career has seen his work in worldwide galleries and museums from the Whitney in New York to venues in Europe and Japan. He is currently working in acrylics although he recently has created sculptures in metal and glass. Isaac will be creating several new works at the fair. “Along with his incredible talents, Isaac is an accessible, friendly, knowledgeable and spontaneous character. His work sparks an instant curiosity from viewers, regardless of their background in painting. One can instantly sense his ‘live’ mind and evolving ideas. We feel his participation will be a great treat to our visitors.” said Neil Rubinstein, co director. Further details on Mr. Abrams at www.isaacabrams.com |
