WOODSTOCK STONE ARTISAN TO EXHIBIT AT FALL NEW PALTZ CRAFTS FAIR

Algerian born Buazza Raal immigrated to the United States in 1990. Settling in Woodstock, he soon found an abundant market for the masonry skills he developed throughout his childhood. His knowledge, talents and friendly nature was soon matched with clients appreciative of a craft that has long been associated with the landscaping and architectural history in the Hudson Valley. The area is geographically blessed with an abundance of native bluestone for sale or for picking in the many local quarry rubles.

Buazza has a varied menu of custom designs and projects he can build.  They include stone walls, walkways, patios waterfalls, fish ponds, wood burning ovens and outdoor kitchens.  His talents can accommodate many composition styles tailored to the clients taste and needs.  Stones can fit together coarsely with a random composition or in a very tight style with minimal spaces between the stones.

Mr. Raal will create one his bluestone fountains at the fair and will have a portfolio of his previous projects to view.  Says Scott Rubinstein, co promoter of the WOODSTOCK-NEW PALTZ ART & CRAFTS FAIR, “We are very proud to have Buazza exhibit at the show.  It is not an easy set up and it is rare for us to have this type of architectural craft presented.”
